H&H Webranking published in Switzerland today

Today daily newspaper NZZ publishes the results of the Swiss edition of H&H Webranking. UBS grabs first place, while second and third place goes to Swisscom and Nestlé respectively. The average score for Switzerland jumps from 42.8 to 49.4 points.

The third annual H&H Webranking Switzerland Top50 saw international financial services company UBS defend its top position for the third year in a row as the Swiss corporate website that best meets the information requirements of international financial markets.

UBS racked up an impressive 79.25 points out of a maximum 100. Swisscom brought home the silver medal with 77.25 points, while global food giant Nestlé defends the bronze medal on 69.5 points.

Dental implant firm Straumann is the only new entry among the top 10. The websites that have improved the most in terms of score compared to 2005 are, in order: Valora, EMS Group, Sulzer, Adecco and Logitech.

The best new entry is Panalpina, the forwarding and logistics services company first listed on the SWX in September 2005. Overall, the Swiss average score is up 6.6 points from 42.8 in 2005 to 49.4 in this year’s survey.

Twelve Swiss companies are included in the Europe-wide survey. Their average score is 62.3 points, outperforming the overall European index of 56.3. UBS climbs from 11th position to 5th. Swisscom enters the top 10 in Europe for the first time. However, Swiss websites are still trailing Germany and Scandinavia, which average 65 and 63.4 points respectively.
