Among individual journalists Bengt Carlsson, Dagens Industri, gets the highest score in a tight race with Björn Wilke, Sophie Nachemson-Ekwall and Cecilia Skingsley, all at Dagens Industri. Bengt Carlsson has won the competition twice before, in 2004 and 2005.
Per Lindvall, Lars Frick and Torbjörn Isacson, all E24 (and indirectly Svenska Dagbladet), came within the top 12. Dagens Nyheter did not score high as a media source but three of its journalists have in addition scored individually within the top 12: Johan Schück, Pia Gripenberg and Andreas Cervenka.
In the Daily business press category Svenska Dagbladet beats Dagens Industri for the first time, in a close race, 50 % vs 41%.
Specialized economy programme Finansnytt on TV8 had a surprise win in the Radio & Television group with 26% of the votes. In second place came the economic news A-ekonomi, now part of the news programme Aktuellt on Swedish Television, scoring 24%.
The Financial Times won the grand class of “Best in economic reporting all categories” as well as the foreign press category.
The ranking is based on 198 responses from analysts, investors and business executives. The survey was made for the eleventh year by Hallvarsson & Halvarsson in cooperation with Svensk Image.
