Thursday, May 24, 2007

PRESS RELEASE
The Board of Directors at Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, one of Sweden’s leading communications consultancies, has appointed Martin Petersson as the new CEO. The resigning CEO Anders Halvarsson will succeed Bengt Rydén as Chairman of the Board this coming autumn.

Martin Petersson has been with the company since 2001, lending his expertise to client projects as well as holding various managerial positions. Currently, he oversees Business Development and Sales.

“The company has developed successfully at a high pace since the company’s inception in 1995 and we are continuing in the same way and renewing the management with our own forces”, stated by the Chairman of the Board Bengt Rydén, who has chosen to step down after eight years as chairman.

Martin Petersson takes up the position July 1st. “I look forward to following Anders Halvarsson in the role of CEO. Our services are in high demand and our market share is constantly increasing. With the Nordic countries as our base, we are continuing to work toward achieving sustainable growth with high quality, particularly within financial communication, where we are market leaders, and within high-end strategic web consulting.”

Anders Halvarsson will be nominated to the post of chairman at the Annual General Meeting held in November after leading the company as CEO for 12 years. “I will most certainly be an active chairman of the board”, he says. “I can now to a greater extent work directly with our clients and our Nordic and International partners, and as chairman develop the company alongside Martin”.

Bengt Rydén will continue his involvement with Hallvarsson & Halvarsson as an advisor to the Board of Directors and clients, and will in the coming weeks be responsible for the development of an advisory board.
