The results from H&H Webranking Europe was published today in Real IR. This year’s winner is the Italian company Telecom Italia with an impressive 89 point out of 100. Italian companies are excelling in this year’s ranking and occupy three of the top ten positions.
The H&H Webranking 2007 Europe has one of the most even results so far. Close behind winner Telecom Italia is runner up Repsol-YPF with 88.75 points and UniCredit with 87.75. All companies have improved their score and their ranking from last year despite the fact that the demands have increased in this year’s criteria.
In general, the Italian companies have made the biggest improvement since last year. With an increase with 6.5 points they are closing in rapidly on the European competition. Among the countries that have lost ground since last year is Sweden which, for the first year, has no companies among the top ten. Eastern Europe is still falling behind in the ranking, largely because of their lack of information in English. This can change rapidly however, just like it has done for Italy. The landscape of online corporate communication is changing rapidly, and companies do not only have to keep up, they now have to be one step ahead!
H&H Webranking is Europe’s leading survey of corporate websites. It has been conducted annually since 1997. Each year approximately 600 websites are reviewed. The results are published in financial newspapers around Europe.
