Globe Sustainability Research Award 2010 awarded Indian Antrix Corporatation for its research in sustainability. The prize ceremony is held at The Globe Forum Conference which takes place in Stockholm April 28-29 2010.
Antrix Corporation is an Indian company that researches in sustainability, and conducts the project of Karnataka in southern India. The area is often flooded and has degraded water stations, which complicates the situation for the people living there. Antrix alleviates the situation through the project Karnataka by finding a sustainable solution for development. The aim is to reduce the area's vulnerability to climate risks.
For the fourth consecutive year, Globe Forum honours companies that research in sustainability. The purpose is to discover and encourage researchers, innovators, businesses and cities that stand in sustainable development. The Globe Awards objective is to highlight specific cases and initiatives taken in sustainability. Tommy Borglund, Head of CSR at Hallvarsson & Halvarsson is one of the jury members.
The Globe Awards are presented in four categories; Research, Sustainable Reporting, Sustainable Cities and Sustainable Innovation. To see all the winners go to www.globeaward.org.
